Telecom Birddogs, LLC now offers
One, Two-, and/or Six-Volume Site Acquisition Handbook Sets
“Firmly Anchored in Midair,
The Handbook of Wireless Site Acquisition and Permitting”
“Firmly Anchored in Midair, The Handbook of Wireless Site Acquisition and Permitting”
has been divided into two volumes and a set of six volumes that are distinguished by
separate functional competency levels corresponding with six sections of the Handbook.
The division of the original Handbook into two volumes provides a specific
focus in each volume on one of the two primary site acquisition outcomes:
Site Selection and Site Development. These two volumes are called the
Managers’ Set.
The division of the original Handbook into six progress-level sub-volumes
provides specific focus in each of the six progressive levels of competency &
certification- Orientation for Project Coordinators, Site Search Due Diligence
for Birddogs, and Site Selection Analytics for Project Estimators being the
Site Selection Volume processes. Project Initiation for Project Expediters,
Space Rights for Leasing Agents and Local Permit Rights for Local Permit
Consultants are the six sub-volumes of Site Development Volume processes
composing the Specialists’ Set.
How might an organization utilize the original Handbook, the Managers’ Set,
and the Specialists’ Set?
Consider a hierarchy of Project Managers, Real Estate Managers, and Real Estate
Specialists. Say we give the original Handbook to Project Managers and one or
both of the Managers’ Set volumes to each Real Estate Manager, and one or
more of the Specialists’ Set progress-level books to each Real Estate Specialist.
Project Managers manage Real Estate Managers and Real Estate Specialists along
with many others on the project deployment team. Real Estate Managers might
focus on either Site Selection tasks or Site Development tasks or both. Real Estate
Managers might directly supervise Specialists or self-perform specialist tasks.
Specialists typically focus on one or more or all of the six progress-level tasks.
Having three distinct levels of hierarchy that match job responsibilities not only
supports all of the books’ abilities to facilitate supervisory/subordinate training
and communication but also cross-training and upward mobility. Real Estate
Specialists can be cross-trained and prepared for tasks. Instead of one person
studying the original Handbook, which may take 2 months to get through, two
persons can read the two Managers’ Set volumes concurrently and six persons
can read the Specialists’ Set progress-level training books concurrently.
How individuals might benefit from the Managers’ Set or the Specialists’ Set?
A person that specializes in all or a phase of Site Selection or wants to might get
together with another who specializes in all or a phase of Site Development, or
wants to, could purchase the Managers’ Set. This would allow them to split the
cost of the two volumes between themselves with each getting one of the volumes.
Alternatively, a group of coordinators or specialists, or those proposing to be,
could purchase the Specialists’ Set with all having the opportunity to study one
of the six competencies of the overall training, simultaneously, and therefore
the ability to share the cost of the entire Set among themselves.
